Philodendron tortum
*Decorative pot not included.
Philodendron tortum is a unique and visually striking houseplant prized for its deeply lobed, almost skeletal leaves that resemble palm fronds or ferns more than the typical philodendron. Philodendron tortum is native to the tropical rainforests of Brazil, where it climbs trees as an epiphyte or hemi epiphyte.
Prefers bright, indirect light — ideal near an east- or north-facing window or filtered light in tropical environments. Can tolerate lower light but will grow more slowly, and leaf divisions may become less dramatic. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate foliage. Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Likes moisture but not soggy conditions; overwatering leads to root rot.
Highly prized among rare aroid collectors, Philodendron tortum offers a refreshing contrast in any plant collection due to its delicate, architectural structure.
